Radio in Heaven
Do they have radios in heaven?
I hope they do
'Cause they're playing my song on the radio
And I'm singing it to you
Do they have radios in heaven?
I hope they do
'Cause they're playing my song on the radio
And I'm singing it to you
For passover we went to stay with the Shamas with a few of our friends. When we first arrived there we went to a natural swimming hole with Benny and hung out there for the rest of the day until we had to get ready for the seder. The seder was crazy!! It was in all hebrew so we didn’t understand much except for what Danny or Benny translated for us. All I know is that there was a lot of really loud singing, clapping and talking. It was so different from the seder at home which is well organized and not nearly as energetic. We miss the seder at home but this was an interesting change. The next day we went to another natural swimming hole, played games and had dinner with the family and then went to bed early so we would be ready for Yam L’ Yam.
Tonight we went to a Debbie Friedman havdallah service at the Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem. It was in honor of her and through out the service they would talk about her life and all of her achievements. It was very fun because we knew all the songs from Camp Newman and at one point of the service they mentioned the name of an old song leader at Newman. After the service we all went and found him and he wants to take all of the Newman kids out to coffee one day. After that we went to a shopping mall down the street but it wasn’t very exciting because the majority of the stores were expensive American stores.
